Hello! My name is Jerrica (she/her/hers), and I am a therapist in training at LifeSpring Counseling Services. I am currently pursuing my M.A. in clinical psychology at Towson University. I believe that therapy is for everyone, and I am so proud of you for beginning this process of self-discovery, growth, and healing.

I offer individual counseling to young adults who are struggling with life-transitions, relationship troubles, anxiety, depression, and trauma. As someone who has sought out therapy myself, I can relate to just how intimidating and scary this process can feel. Therapy is hard! It is my goal to make the therapy room a safe and respectful space for you to explore yourself and be vulnerable. Therapy is rooted in genuine connection, and together, we will build a warm therapeutic relationship to collaboratively bring about positive change in your life. In my work, I aim to provide a strong sense of support and encouragement, along with a genuine desire to see you meet your goals and thrive.

I will integrate aspects of psychodynamic, person-centered, and humanistic perspectives into our work together, while also actively learning what works for you with you to ensure that you get the most out of your therapy experience. Together, we will also use a holistic approach to uncover all of the different experiences, stories, and perspectives that make you who you are, and with this, we can work to meet your goals, foster healthy relationships, and find a stronger sense of inner peace. Here’s to new beginnings, self-growth, and the journey that lies ahead!

“Courage doesn’t happen when you have all the answers. It happens when you are ready to face the questions you have been avoiding your whole life.”

— Shannon L. Alder

In my free time, I tend to recharge my battery by spending quality time with my partner and our new kitten! I also enjoy playing board games, trying out new restaurants, and watching movies (with popcorn!).

Educational Background

I have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Towson University right here in the Baltimore area. Currently, I am earning my Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Towson, and I am expected to graduate next year! My history includes working on an inpatient trauma unit with adults with PTSD and Dissociative Disorders, which has strengthened my desire to work with young adults and women. I also have experience working with college students on topics surrounding sexual health, consent, and healthy relationships. I have also completing Phase 1 Brainspotting.

As I pursue my Masters degree, I have continued to focus my research on trauma and dissociation. However, I have also developed a newfound passion for working with anxiety, OCD, and depression. I am looking forward to diving into my work at LifeSpring, and I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to grow as a therapist!

"Healing may not be so much about getting better, as about letting go of everything that isn't you – all of the expectations, all of the beliefs – and becoming who you are."
